MedicineNet does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. See additional information. Gonna have to try that!
We’ve got hard water virtually!! For instance, it’s a little on the dull side. It’s more thin. For instance, in a nutshell, my hair has changed. You see, its volume has decreased considerably while my ponytails used to comprise an ideal handful, they’re pretty small. It’s more coarse. In the past five years, I’ve noticed a marked difference in my hair. Considering the above said. I have always had VERY fine hair and I in the premises and now in my own home. Generally, yES please do keep us posted!!! There is more information about it on this site. I am VERY interested to see what happens with your hair. After that, it hit me one day as I was emptying the dishwasher and noticing the terrible hard water deposits on my glasses.
You should understand that our rural water is terribly, terribly hard packed with minerals, to understand my theory.
Faucets, without intervention, collect a white/green residue of calcium and copper.
I’ve replaced the motor three times. It shall be clogged with hard water deposits and quit working, So in case I don’t clean our ice maker each and every month. Without ‘Lemi Shine’, the dishwasher will be a clouded, murky mess. Glad you figured it out! That is interesting right? Minerals! Thanks! That said, thanks for adding Weleda to the ads on your page. Virtually, I recently started researching the No ‘Poo movement, that involves ditching shampoo all gether and using baking soda and vinegar instead to clean and condition your hair. So, this post reminded me of it and now I am planning on using a vinegar rinse morrow morning, I haven’t jumped on that bandwagon quite yet. Make sure you write suggestions about it below. I was hearing lots about using Vinegar on one’s hair.
I swear I had a thyroid problem Know what, I don’t have the hard water. Better smell than some celebrity’s perfume! Like it was before I had three kids, I want my hair to be thicker and shinier, Hmm, I don’t even have hard water. Just think for a moment. It’s worth a try and I love pickles! There’s only very much it will do, Know what, I have a softener. Where I live in NH we have a well and the water is REALLY packed iron. I’m so trying the vinegar! With that said, what a great idea you had and soooo glad it works for you.
Sounds familiardoesn’t it? You are so that’s great timing for me!
I am preparing to try this today.
We have the worst water here!
I may have to look into the dishwasher stuff also, the water has completely ruined our flatware!! I used it for quite a while. Try Apple Cider Vinigar. With that said, it’s a conditioner. Notice that it ain’t as harsh smelling, and still will give the effect you need. I’ll have to give that a try. Loads of info can be found easily on the web. Tally forgot that my mom ld me -when I was a little girl -to do this to my hair when I got older!!!!!!Thanks for the reminder and God bless moms everywhere! My hair shaft? So here is the question. My Farrah feathers?
It was a major lightbulb moment. While clogging up my dishwasher, and clouding up my glasses…what must it be doing to my hair follicles, I’d say if the mineral deposits from my water are killing my icemaker, the question I asked myself was. It really helps with the mineral build up and soap action. For instance, we use cisterns around here for washing. It’s a well have you ever heard of reverse osmosis, just a suggestion. I have to say, I’m loving your blog. So, I would ultimately love to have a reverse osmosis whole house system, we have a water softener, that I stumbled upon through my cousin’s wife’s blog.whew.did ya catch all that?! Without the essential oils, look, that’s a marvelous idea, I’m quite sure I used to do this every now and then when I was younger. It’s good to be reminded, Know what, I hadn’t thought about trying this in years. It did work very well. I have very thick, coarse hair. Maybe my hair was doing best in order to signal an underlying problem like a dog’s fur usually reveals poor health, By the way I felt healthy.
I’d be prescribed medication for the condition and my hair would’ve been back to normal again.
I have all the symptoms. I started examining this last summer. OF COURSE! I’d like to be, and suchlike I congratulated myself on this kind of an astute diagnosis and called my local doctor to schedule a bloodtest so it could confirm my brilliance. I’m sure you heard about this. THAT’S IT! Therefore, after five minutes on the internet. Now please pay attention. I think it’s just a case of ~cough~ middle age. For what it’s worth -I made similar self diagnosis re. It is kinda depressing. Morrow I will use vinegar and make it pretty easy for you to know the result, good morning from sunny WA!!At my age I will try anything! On p of this, if you have a Lush in amid the big cities seminear you, drop by and pick up some Big shampoo.
I’ve never had softer, fluffier hair since trying it, A bit pricey.
Hubby purchased it from the Home Depot and ld it was one of their best made.
At least you may have your hair problem solved but think about what Surely it’s doing to some of your water problems! Get yourself a water softener unit! Hey, do not ask me which one. They are very much better than they’ve been 6 years ago. We just replaced our dinosaur one and what a difference! Very very interesting.my husband dislike the smell of vinegar or I’d try this So there’s also very hard and I used vinegar for cleaning out coffee maker. What a fabulous idea! Also, vinegar is amazing stuff, was not it?
Hope it does the trick!
I wouldn’t mind a ‘stepbystep’ tutorial on how to make your neck look ten years younger.
. We don’t ahve hard water hair so I know that is not the problem. I think I am ain’t planning to spiral downward into stepbystep tutorials showing how to apply a thin line of liquid liner on your upper lid, or how to create a smoky eye look, or how to feather your hair like Farrah, or how to make your neck look ten years younger. Usually, cross my heart and hope to die. Fear not! Can you use vinegar on ‘color treated’ hair or will it strip out the color, or turn it light green???
Whatever you do, you shouldn’t let the vinegar get on your face.
When I got out of the shower my face was beet redish.
It was the night of my hubby’s company Christmas party. I accidentely got some on my face and I knew something was wrong when it started to burn. It stayed like that for about half an hour. Things like that never happen when you have nothing else to do. Usually. Certainly, while the smell is quite strong out of the bottle, the great thing about vinegar is that, many of us know that there is NO SMELL once it has dried. Great tip. This is why you can use it all through your house for cleaning and NOT have a house that smells like pickles or easter eggs! Although, we have hard water, I was battling a dry scalp and dull hair. This is the case. Hmmmm, you might be on to something! I’ll have to give the vinegar a try. Thank you very much!
One question. do you use it almost any day?
I think I’m planning to have my daughter give it a go.
My daughter has that icky feeling hair from our pool/chlorine since last summer.always looks dull, never shiny.one of my good friends is a hairdresser and had been giving me the shampoo/conditioner for chlorinated hair. Since living in Montana and the hard water here.my hair is so not what it used to be as far as thickness. Thanks for the tip. I have got to try this night! Where you find the time for everything I havent a clue. I may try this virtually. I am preparing to try that vinegar rinse just to get some shine back in my white hair. I am considering trying it.
I think I will try it again.
I was just telling a friend this morning that my uncle and aunt swear by the apple vinegar diet plan. Notice that I saw him over the weekend and he been able to walk for the first time in years without a cane and he swore the vinegar not only curbed his appetite but helped his arthritis as well. My uncle alone lost 60# in the past year doing this and he is 77 years old. You see, my mother and grandmother used to swear by this method. Mmmm I don’t know about the entire pickles thing. Basically, I’ll have to try it again. Thanks for the reminder! I haven’t done this in awhile. It did really make my hair look great. Did you hear about something like this before? I’d love some shine, my hair is thicker than I look for it to be. Now please pay attention. I’m trying this! Besides.
