I have also noticed I have about 2x the energy versus being on it, that is a plus. I even have some bald spots. On p of this, there had been no hair loss outside of the norm. Doctor has weaned me off Wellbutrin. I haven’t used any dye for I am suspecting that I know it’s the Wellbutrin, I don’t dye my hair. Thus I very rarely use heat on it. I started taking 150mg generic Wellbutrin on 27.It is about a week and a half and I am having startling hair loss. I’ve never had a greyish hair during my life! In 2006 it seems that the medical world here did not know about the hair loss being caused by the medication. My boss replaced all the wheels and showed me all the hair wrapped up in the wheels.
I don’t look for to give up the Wellbutrin but I don’t seek for to wear a wig either.

It doesn’t show as I always wear my hair down so I brushed it off, I was looking in the mirror and noticed the sides of my hair were thinning.

To be honest I apply coconut oil again, when out of the shower. I am able to stay within a certain weight and my sex drive isn’t affected by the drug. I’m still going through this. Nevertheless, I didn’t think anything of it, over a period of a few months I noticed I was losing more hair thought it was just the normal hair loss you experience after pregnancy. Far I am pleased with my choice to stop taking the Wellbutrin. By the way I panicked, Googled hair loss, and all the after effects of the medications I am on, as a normal person will do. Seriously. Undoubtedly it’s interesting. Nonetheless, the medicaation helps with the signs and symptoms of my PTSD but has cause severe hair loss. She suggested that I suffer from female hair loss unrelated to anything specific. Even when my hair is thinner I am glad that I caught the significant problem when I did.
My doctor was not surprised, I am very prone to after effect.

By the way I started taking prenatals again and still nothing has changed, I ld my male doctor and surely he said it has nothing to do with Wellbutrin and maybe I have low iron. The icing on the cake was when a wheel on my work chair broke. That’s a fact, it’s sad, being that this medication was very helpful in reducing my depression and anxiety. Only 150mg once a day. Anyways, I feel like my choice was not only an ideal one for me physically, mentally and emotionally, I also do not feel as lightheaded everyday. It’s a well I still think that Bupropion therapy had something to do with my hair loss.
I’m stopping it day!am 23, and was on Wellbutrin since April until about 3 days ago.
It has definitely lessened, while I am still losing hair.
Now my hair is falling out again, more so than before. For instance, I decided to stop taking this medication and noticed that I also stopped losing my hair. It still feels thin but at least And so it’s not all over the floor. I did start back at a lower dose, and have not had any problems like before. On p of this, I’m a 25 year old female so this horrified me and still is horrifying me. It’s been 9 months since I quit Bupropion. I have also started using the L’Oreal Paris EverStrong Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner. I usually only pick a haircut about twice a year, here is how healthy my hair is. I also found multiple pea sized bald spots throughout the parts of my hair that I could see. Did you know that the weight loss stopped and my hair started growing back. At the sides of my hair where it first started thinning I have TONS of light grey hair!

About 2 weeks ago, I started losing lots of hair. With a shower cap on, I started using and sleeping with coconut oil on my hair, infused with rosemary oil, each and other night. I started this medication to quit smoking, and it has worked for that, I’m smoke free for 5 days but when my script is up right after the month I would not be continuing it. I can’t even believe I found this site. The main problem is my scalp burns and later itches and I am loosing hair. I have had tests done again and nothing had been found. Anyway, I commented to my hairdresser over the last few months that I was losing loads of hair in the shower and in my brush than normal.
Entire strand is coming out, So it’s not breaking off.

I’ve lost very much hair that I am forced to cut my hair twice in the last 8 months. Went to my beautician -tried everything. I still decided to stop taking it! I was under the impression that my doctor had my concerns in mind and was also without a doubt correct. While having thin hair at this point is making me feel so sad and scared it may never be as full again, my individual hair strands have always been thin, I have always had plenty of it and it has always felt so full and thick. My hair is now paper thin. A well-known fact that is. For the past two months I have noticed plenty of hair falling out and I figured it was just an end of winter shedding. I use to have very thick hair, now it’s so thin it’s depressing. Nonetheless, doctors dismissed my concerns that I was losing hair due to Wellbutrin. It’s disturbing me, my hair has never been thick. It has not helped me with my depression either. For instance, will never take it again. My doctor dismissed my complaint of hair loss on my last two visits. Lexapro made my hair fall out now realized it was the Wellbutrin. Now I’m more depressed than ever. Now wearing hats to conceal the loss. My Wellbutrin -the generic one -was increased from 350 mgs to 450 mgs about 23 months ago.
Recently I have noticed thinning of my hair. I did a thorough blood work and everything was fine. I finally connected the dots and realized that Wellbutrin is only one new addition to my routine. I reached back to consciously feel the thickness of my hair day and was shocked when I realized for the first time how thin it felt. Notice a great deal of hair loss. Actually, I’m very annoyed to say the least. With all that said… I’m seeing my psychiatrist this week and I hope she takes my concern seriously.
About 2 months now. Of course I knew that it was the Wellbutrin that was causing my hair loss because of the time frame. Nonetheless, it just occurred to me day that it had been two hair months loss. Let me tell you something. I am off them for 2 months and I’m still having hair loss -my hair is so thin and delicate -and the hair that is coming in new is all greyish..

I started losing my hair within a few weeks, I ld my doctor and she weaned me off the Prozac but kept me on Wellbutrin.
It was quite scary seeing that much hair come off in the shower, and my bathroom floor will get covered in hair everyday! My doctor switched my other medications since they no longer had the effect they’ve been supposed to. You should take this seriously. I noticed that I was losing loads of hair about three months ago. Hair, please grow back quickly.) Started taking Prozac and Wellbutrin 3 years ago. However, it hasn’t helped with my depression that much in the end of the day. I began taking Wellbutrin around four months ago. Generally, well I assume lots of us know that there is a special hell for them. I’ve been on Wellbutrin for about five months now. My doctor has ld me to cut back to 350 mgs. I’m stopping the Wellbutrin right after this year. Wellbutrin has made my hair fall out a lot that I’m thinking about cursing out my doctor for giving to me. I was only taking it for energy so I will find other ways to increase my energy. As a result, you believe your hair loss is due to Wellbutrin, right?
